It’s always a pleasure to make a gate for a fellow artist. We’ve just installed this grass and wheat themed abstract gate to keep a herb garden safe from nibbling rabbits on a farm near the village of Pett. Working with the owner we arrived at a design that complimented the landscape and created wheat ear finials in the forge. The gate will be left to develop a patina of rust and then be clear lacquered to preserve for decades to come.
